HRL Management meets Deputy Agriculture Minister of Uzbekistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: On 14th January 2026, the management of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. met with His Excellency Jamshidjon T. Abduzukhurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, who is currently on visit to Pakistan. The HRL management included Mr. Najam ul Hassan, Executive Director, Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, Mr. Shamil Ahmed, Director Administration, Capital Smart City, Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd, and Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Adviser to the Chairman, HRL Group.

During the meeting, the Deputy Minister was briefed in detail about the profile, achievements, and ongoing projects of Habib Rafiq Engineering (Pvt.) Ltd. (HRL), one of Pakistan’s most prominent and diversified infrastructure and development groups, with extensive experience in large-scale engineering, urban development, energy, and smart city initiatives.

H.E Jamshidjon T. Abduzukhurov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Republic of Uzbekistan introduced Uzbekistan’s rapidly growing agricultural sector and highlighted the country’s efforts to modernize farming practices, improve agro-industrial value chains, and expand international cooperation in agribusiness. He expressed keen interest in exploring collaboration with HRL in areas such as agricultural infrastructure development, irrigation systems, agro-processing facilities, and smart farming technologies.

The Deputy Minister invited the HRL Group to visit Uzbekistan to explore investment opportunities and establish long-term partnerships in the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors. Both agreed that such cooperation could contribute significantly to strengthening economic ties between Pakistan and Uzbekistan, while promoting sustainable development and food security in the region.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with a shared commitment to continue dialogue and work toward mutually beneficial projects in the near future.
