President Tokayev Orders Emergency Measures Plan Amid Escalating Tensions Around Iran

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has instructed Secretary of the Security Council Gizat Nurdauletov, along with the heads of law enforcement agencies and relevant ministries, to prepare and submit an emergency measures plan in response to the escalating situation around Iran and potential threats to domestic stability.
The directive was announced by the President’s Advisor and Press Secretary Aibek Smadyarov, according to media reports.
In line with the President’s order, all law enforcement agencies across the country have been placed on round-the-clock duty to ensure readiness and maintain public order.
Additionally, a special monitoring group has been established within the government, operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan. The group is tasked with closely assessing developments and coordinating the state’s response.
Regional governors have also been instructed to implement precautionary measures, taking into account the evolving situation in the Middle East.
The move underscores Kazakhstan’s efforts to safeguard national stability and proactively respond to potential security risks stemming from regional tensions.
