Azerbaijan, Jordan FMs Discuss Escalating Middle East Tensions

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On March 2, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a telephone conversation with Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ayman Safadi, to discuss the escalating military-political situation in the Middle East.
During the call, the two ministers exchanged views on the growing regional tensions and expressed deep concern over the deteriorating security environment.
Both sides emphasized that any further escalation would be unacceptable and underscored the importance of resolving existing differences through dialogue and diplomatic means, in full accordance with the norms and principles of international law.
The ministers highlighted the protection of civilians and the prevention of a worsening humanitarian situation as immediate priorities. They stressed the need to intensify international efforts aimed at restoring stability and ensuring lasting security in the region.
The conversation also covered other issues of mutual interest, reaffirming the commitment of both countries to continued diplomatic engagement and cooperation.
