PM Shehbaz Sharif Condemns Drone Attack on Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan, Urges Restraint and Dialogue

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed deep concern over the recent drone strike targeting Azerbaijan’s Nakhchivan region, strongly condemning the attack and calling for restraint to prevent further escalation in the region.

In a post shared on the social media platform X, the prime minister voiced Pakistan’s solidarity with the leadership and people of Azerbaijan following the reported drone strike in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

“We express our serious concern over the recent attacks on the brotherly country of Azerbaijan,” the prime minister stated.

Sharif emphasized that Pakistan stands firmly with Azerbaijan and strongly condemns such actions, warning that attacks of this nature risk escalating tensions and undermining regional peace and stability.

“Pakistan stands firmly with the leadership and people of Azerbaijan and condemns such deplorable actions that risk further escalation and undermine regional peace and stability,” he said.

The prime minister also urged all parties to exercise restraint and stressed the importance of resolving tensions through dialogue and diplomatic engagement.

“We urge restraint and reiterate the need to de-escalate tensions and pursue dialogue and diplomacy to preserve peace and stability in the region,” he added.

Pakistan and Azerbaijan share close diplomatic and strategic ties, with both countries frequently reaffirming their mutual support on regional and international issues.
