US–Azerbaijan Trade and Business Conference Marks 30 Years of Economic Partnership in Washington

Washington D.C., The Gulf Observer: A US–Azerbaijan Trade and Business Conference, organized by the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce, is being held in Washington, D.C. under the theme “US-Azerbaijan Trade and Business Agenda: Shaping the Future by Connecting Markets.”

The event marks the 30th anniversary of the chamber and brings together senior government officials, business leaders, investors, and financial sector representatives from both the United States and Azerbaijan to explore new opportunities for economic cooperation.

The conference opened with welcoming remarks from USACC Executive Director Natiq Bakhishov, followed by speeches from the chairman of the chamber’s board Reza Vaziri and Khazar Ibrahim.

The agenda features a key session focused on strengthening bilateral trade and strategic cooperation, along with panel discussions addressing the role of technology in economic development, energy infrastructure, and financial sector collaboration between the two countries.

Among the participants are Elnur Aliyev, Jeffrey Kessler, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Energy Minister Orkhan Zeynalov, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy and Critical Minerals Reji Singh, and Rovshan Najaf.

Senior executives from major international organizations and companies are also participating, including representatives from Honeywell, Visa, Bechtel, AECOM, NEQSOL Holding, and the Export–Import Bank of the United States.

During the conference, Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy and HAIMAKER.AI Inc are expected to sign a memorandum of understanding on a potential partnership to develop a next-generation digital platform and ecosystem in Azerbaijan. The document will be signed by Elnur Aliyev and HAIMAKER.AI co-founder and CEO Su Le.

The conference will also feature an awards ceremony honoring companies and organizations that have played a significant role in strengthening bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Founded in 1995, the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce has served as a key platform for promoting trade, investment, and cultural ties between the United States and Azerbaijan, fostering dialogue between public and private sectors and supporting business diversification over the past three decades.
