UAE, Egypt Leaders Discuss Economic Cooperation and Regional Stability in Abu Dhabi Meeting

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held talks with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi during a fraternal visit to the United Arab Emirates, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing regional developments.

The meeting, held in Abu Dhabi, centered on enhancing ties between the two countries, particularly in the economic and development sectors, while exploring opportunities to advance cooperation in line with shared priorities and mutual interests.

At the outset, the two leaders exchanged greetings on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, conveying their wishes for continued prosperity and well-being for their peoples, as well as peace and stability across the Arab and Islamic worlds.

Discussions also covered the evolving situation in the Middle East amid ongoing military escalation and its implications for regional and global security. President El-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of recent Iranian attacks targeting the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of sovereignty and international law.

He further affirmed Egypt’s solidarity with the UAE in safeguarding its security, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens.

Both leaders stressed the importance of an immediate de-escalation and underscored the need for dialogue and diplomatic efforts to resolve regional tensions, prevent further crises, and maintain stability.

The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoon Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, along with other high-ranking dignitaries.
