President Tokayev, Sberbank Chief Discuss Banking Sector Challenges and Digital Transformation

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Thursday held a meeting with Chairman of the Management Board of Sberbank, German Gref, to discuss key developments in the banking sector and the broader economic landscape, the presidential press service Akorda reported.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed major challenges facing the banking industry, particularly in light of the evolving geopolitical environment and its impact on regional economies.
President Tokayev and Gref also exchanged views on the prospects for integrating advanced digital solutions and expanding the use of artificial intelligence in the financial sector, highlighting the growing importance of innovation in ensuring sustainable economic growth.
