Oman, Russia Reaffirm Commitment to Expanding Strategic Cooperation

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi on Thursday received Georgy Borisenko to discuss ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russia.
During the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing partnership and cooperation across multiple sectors, building on the outcomes of the landmark visit of Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Russia last year.
The discussions highlighted steady progress in bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of economy, trade, investment, energy, transport, and tourism. The two sides also underscored the importance of enhancing collaboration in cultural, scientific, and technical domains in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both countries.
Regional and international developments were also reviewed, with both parties emphasizing the need to intensify consultations and joint efforts, strengthen multilateral cooperation mechanisms, and adhere to international law in addressing global challenges.
They further stressed the importance of promoting dialogue and diplomacy as essential tools for ensuring regional stability and fostering peaceful coexistence.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Munthir bin Mahfoudh Al Mantheri, and Oleg Levin, along with other officials from both sides.
