UAE and Greece Strengthen Strategic Partnership

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received the Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic, His Excellency Kyriakos Mitsotakis, on Tuesday for a working visit aimed at deepening the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two nations.
The high-level meeting, which coincides with the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the UAE and Greece, focused on a wide array of collaborative sectors and pressing regional security concerns.
Key Areas of Cooperation
The leaders held extensive discussions on expanding bilateral ties across several future-oriented fields, including:
- Technology & Innovation: Artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure.

Focus on Regional Stability
A significant portion of the talks addressed recent developments in the Middle East. Prime Minister Mitsotakis expressed Greece’s strong condemnation of terrorist attacks targeting civilians and infrastructure in the UAE and the wider region. He emphasized that such actions constitute a violation of international law and undermine the collective peace and security of the international community.
Landmark AI Agreement
As a cornerstone of the visit, the two leaders witnessed the exchange of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) regarding cooperation in Artificial Intelligence and technology.
