Pakistan, Iran Stress Enhanced Judicial Cooperation During Islamabad Meeting

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Chief Justice of Pakistan Yahya Afridi has emphasized the need to strengthen judicial cooperation between Pakistan and Iran during a meeting with Iran’s Ambassador to Islamabad, Reza Amiri-Moghaddam.

The meeting, held on Thursday, focused on enhancing judicial and institutional collaboration between the two neighboring countries through the exchange of experiences and implementation of judicial reforms.

During the discussions, Chief Justice Afridi highlighted the longstanding brotherly ties between Pakistan and Iran, stating that enduring friendship and mutual respect form the foundation of bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of justice administration.

He also conveyed the goodwill and affection of the Pakistani people toward Iran and expressed his wishes for peace, stability, and continued progress for the Iranian nation.

Ambassador Amiri-Moghaddam, in turn, appreciated the reform initiatives undertaken by the Pakistani judiciary and commended efforts aimed at expediting the cases of Iranian nationals detained in prisons across Pakistan.

Both sides underscored the importance of closer judicial engagement as part of broader bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
