Argentina took an early lead in the 10th minute through Alexis Mac Allister, but Switzerland fought back with Dan Ndoye scoring the equaliser in the 67th minute. With neither side able to find a decisive goal during regular time, the match ended 1-1 and proceeded to extra time.
