Tajikistan, Türkiye Explore Expanded Trade and Investment Cooperation
Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: Tajikistan and Türkiye have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral economic, trade, and investment cooperation during a meeting between Tajikistan’s Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Abdurahmon Abdurahmonzoda, and Chairman of the Tajikistan–Türkiye Business Council, Rüşen Çetin.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, the meeting, held on Aug. 4, focused on the current state and future prospects of economic and commercial relations, investment opportunities, and expanding direct cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.
During the discussions, the Tajik side presented the favorable conditions available for establishing joint industrial and manufacturing enterprises, as well as investment opportunities within the country’s free economic zones. Officials highlighted the government’s efforts to create an attractive business environment for foreign investors and promote sustainable industrial development.
Particular attention was given to cooperation in the textile industry, agricultural product processing, construction materials manufacturing, pharmaceutical production, and the introduction of modern technologies to enhance industrial capacity and competitiveness.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to further deepen trade, economic, and investment cooperation, underscoring their shared commitment to expanding bilateral business ties and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships.
