Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan Presidents Exchange Highest State Awards in Tashkent

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Presidents Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan and Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan exchanged the two countries’ highest state honours during a ceremony held in Tashkent on August 23.
President Mirziyoyev conferred the highest degree of Uzbekistan’s “Dostlik” (Friendship) Order on President Ilham Aliyev in recognition of his contribution to strengthening friendship and cooperation between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan.
In return, President Aliyev presented President Shavkat Mirziyoyev with Azerbaijan’s “Heydar Aliyev” Order, the country’s highest state decoration.
The exchange of the prestigious state awards reflects the close and growing strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan and highlights the two leaders’ role in advancing bilateral relations and cooperation across various fields.
