President of Uzbekistan holds a telephone conversation with Turkish President
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev had a telephone conversation with President of the Republic of Turkiye Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday.
The head of our state warmly congratulated the leader of Turkiye on his birthday, sincerely wishing him good health and great success, as well as peace and prosperity to the fraternal Turkish people. The personal contribution of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in achieving the modern high level of Uzbek-Turkish relations of a comprehensive strategic partnership and multifaceted cooperation was especially noted.
The President of Uzbekistan once again expressed words of support and confirmed its readiness to provide the necessary assistance in overcoming the consequences of the devastating earthquakes that occurred in the southeastern provinces of Turkiye.
In turn, the President of Turkiye expressed deep gratitude to the President and the fraternal people of Uzbekistan for their support in the most difficult period. Thanks to the activities of rescuers and medical workers, the lives of dozens of people have been saved, and qualified assistance has been provided to thousands of residents of Hatay province. In addition, great moral support was provided by representatives of culture and art, the intelligentsia and the public of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, topical issues of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The importance of the unconditional implementation of the agreements of the high-level meeting held in November 2022 in the city of Samarkand was emphasized.
The schedule of upcoming meetings was considered, including preparations for the next meeting of the Uzbek-Turkish Strategic Partnership Council and the events of the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.
The telephone conversation between the Presidents of Uzbekistan and Turkiye took place in a traditionally open, trusting and friendly atmosphere.
