Algerian President Tebboune Confers Military Ranks, Awards Medals to People's National Army Personnel

Algiers, The Gulf Observer: Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces and Minister of National Defence, presided over the annual ceremony for conferring military ranks and awarding medals to general officers, senior officers and civilian personnel of the People’s National Army (PNA) on the eve of celebrations marking the 64th anniversary of Algeria’s Independence and the restoration of national sovereignty.

The ceremony was attended by senior state officials, including Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defence and Chief of Staff of the People’s National Army, General Saïd Chanegriha, as well as high-ranking military commanders, government officials and distinguished national figures.

During the ceremony, President Tebboune approved a series of promotions for officers serving in various branches of the armed forces in recognition of their dedication and professional service. Decorations and medals were also presented to a number of military and civilian personnel for their contributions to strengthening Algeria’s defence capabilities and national institutions.

The annual ceremony forms part of Algeria’s Independence Day commemorations and reflects the country’s tradition of honouring members of the People’s National Army for their service to national security and sovereignty.
