Arab, foreign media persons visit Bahraini Women's Monument "Athar"

Manama, The Gulf Observer: The National Communication Centre (NCC) organized, in cooperation with the Secretariat General of the Supreme Council for Women (SCW) a visit for 40 representatives of Arab and foreign mass media to Bahraini Women’s Monument “Athar”, on the sidelines of their visit to the kingdom to attend the Isa Award for Service to Humanity ceremony.

The audience listened to a briefing on the memorial, which is considered as a cultural symbol of the bright and honorable march of Bahraini women. It is also the result of an architectural youth competition named “Fakhr” (Pride), which was organized by SCW in cooperation with Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities in 2017 to mark the Bahraini Women’s Day.

The media persons were informed about the development march of Bahraini women and their achievements at all levels. They expressed appreciation of the monument and its unique architectural design which takes into account the aspects of modernity and protection of the environment.
