King Hamad, King Abdullah II Discuss Bahrain-Jordan Ties, Condemn Iranian Attacks in Phone Call
Manama, The Gulf Observer: King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain held a telephone conversation on Sunday with King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, during which the two leaders reviewed the longstanding fraternal relations between their countries and exchanged views on regional developments, with a particular focus on efforts to ease tensions across the Middle East.
According to the Bahrain News Agency, the two monarchs reaffirmed the strength of the historic ties between Bahrain and Jordan and emphasized their shared commitment to enhancing bilateral cooperation across various fields.
During the conversation, King Hamad and King Abdullah II strongly condemned the Iranian attacks targeting Bahrain, Jordan, and other countries in the region. They reiterated their firm rejection of actions that threaten regional security and stability, underscoring the need to uphold peace and safeguard the sovereignty of states.
The two leaders also stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to promote dialogue, de-escalate tensions, and strengthen peace, security, and stability across the region in a manner that serves the interests and aspirations of its nations and peoples.
