Arkadag Unveils "Taýçanak" Monument and "Ahalteke Atlar" Avenue in Grand Ceremony

Arkadag, The Gulf Observer: Turkmenistan celebrated the National Day of the Turkmen Horse with a series of grand events in Arkadag, the historical birthplace of the renowned Ahal-Teke breed, highlighted by the unveiling of the new “Taýçanak” monument and the renovated “Ahalteke Atlar” Avenue, Turkmen official media reported.

The festive ceremonies, attended by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, were held at the International Ahal-Teke Equestrian Complex and featured vibrant musical performances, artistic presentations, and a literary-musical composition celebrating the legendary image of the horse Taýçanak and the global acclaim of the Ahal-Teke breed.The newly renovated “Ahalteke Atlar” Avenue now connects the “Akhan” and “Taýçanak” monuments, symbolizing the legacy and continuity of Turkmenistan’s equestrian heritage. Along the new boulevard, sculptures honoring famous horses, accompanied by displays detailing their history and achievements, have been installed to promote national values and inspire a sense of pride among the younger generation.

Participants at the celebrations emphasized that inaugurating social and cultural facilities on significant national dates has become a proud tradition in Turkmenistan, reflecting the country’s ongoing prosperity, deep cultural roots, and commitment to preserving its rich heritage.The Ahal-Teke horse, known for its beauty, endurance, and distinctive metallic sheen, is considered a national symbol of Turkmenistan and holds a special place in the country’s identity and global recognition.
