Azerbaijan Joins Annual Turkish Tree-Planting Campaign “Breath for the Future”
Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan will once again participate in the large-scale tree-planting campaign held annually in brotherly Turkey under the slogan “Breath for the Future!”, a tradition that has now extended to Azerbaijan.
Speaking to media, spokesperson for the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, said that this year the country is continuing its support for Turkey’s environmental initiative.
“Within the campaign organized by the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, 111,111 trees will be planted across all regions of Azerbaijan. We believe that these trees will eventually grow into broad green areas and make a significant contribution to the environment,” İbrahimova stated.
She further noted that, as 11 November falls on a non-working day this year, the campaign in Azerbaijan will take place on 12 November.
“The campaign will begin in the settlement of Müşfiqabad, with the participation of officials and employees of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, eco-volunteers, and representatives of the embassies of the member states of the Organization of Turkic States. A total of 1,111 trees will be planted in Müşfiqabad,” İbrahimova added.
The initiative reflects Azerbaijan’s ongoing commitment to environmental protection and regional cooperation in promoting sustainable green spaces.
