Azerbaijan Launches Nationwide Roadshow Ahead of World Urban Forum 2026 in Baku

Baku, The Gulf Observer : Azerbaijan is set to launch a nationwide awareness campaign ahead of the thirteenth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13), scheduled to take place in Baku from May 17 to 22, 2026.

As part of preparations, the WUF13 Roadshow will be held across multiple cities to engage the public and highlight the significance of the global urban development event. The initiative will commence in Baku on April 28, followed by stops in Sumgayit on April 29, Guba on April 30, Lankaran on May 2, Gabala on May 4, Sheki on May 5, Mingachevir on May 6, and Ganja on May 8. The roadshow will conclude in Khankendi on May 10.

The programme will be conducted in two segments. The first half of each day will feature informational sessions hosted at local universities, offering insights into the objectives and themes of WUF13. The second half will include open-air public events designed to reach wider audiences.

Evening activities will consist of interactive sessions, educational games, presentations, and public discussions focusing on key themes such as sustainable urban development, inclusive city planning, innovative urban solutions, and the future of cities. Participants will also gain a deeper understanding of the guiding principles and priorities of the upcoming forum.

Organizers have announced that all roadshow events will be open to the public free of charge, encouraging broad participation in the lead-up to one of the world’s most prominent urban development gatherings.
