Azerbaijan Tourism Board Promotes Azerbaijan as Year-Round Destination at Belgrade Event

Belgrade, The Gulf Observer: The Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) has organized a promotional event in the Serbian capital, Belgrade, aimed at showcasing Azerbaijan as an attractive year-round tourism destination and strengthening bilateral tourism cooperation.

The event brought together representatives of Serbian government institutions, the International Ski and Snowboard Federation, tourism industry stakeholders from both countries, and members of the media.

Addressing the gathering, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency, Fuad Naghiyev, emphasized that relations between Azerbaijan and Serbia are based on strong friendship and a strategic partnership established under the leadership of both countries’ heads of state.

He noted that the mutual visa-free regime, joint initiatives, and the launch of direct flights between Baku and Belgrade have significantly contributed to the expansion of tourism ties, increased visitor flows, and enhanced business cooperation between the two countries.

The event also featured B2B meetings involving representatives of around 30 Serbian tourism companies, including eight local tourism organizations and Air Serbia, aimed at fostering direct business-to-business cooperation in the tourism sector.

Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to Serbia, Kamil Khasiyev, highlighted the growing friendly and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries, noting that bilateral relations have reached the level of a strategic partnership in recent years.

Serbia’s State Secretary for Tourism and Youth, Nikola Mijailović, and Chief Executive Officer of the Azerbaijan Tourism Board, Florian Sengstschmid, provided an overview of existing tourism cooperation and discussed prospects for further strengthening collaboration in the sector.

The promotional event also included the screening of a video highlighting Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, underscoring its appeal as a destination for all seasons.
