DG ISPR Rejects India's Baseless Allegations, Demands Evidence Be Presented

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan’s military has categorically rejected Indian allegations of cross-border drone and missile attacks, calling them baseless and provocative. In a press briefing to foreign media on Friday, Director General Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR) Major General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry challenged India to present any credible evidence to the international community, if it exists.

He clarified that Pakistan’s recent retaliatory actions along the Line of Control (LoC) targeted only those Indian military posts that were directly involved in firing upon civilian populations. The DG ISPR also accused Indian media of spreading “fabricated stories” to mislead public opinion.

Major General Chaudhry was joined by Air Vice Marshal Aurangzeb Ahmed, Director General Public Relations of the Pakistan Air Force, and Rear Admiral Raja Rab Nawaz, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations), who briefed media representatives on the latest developments along the LoC and their broader regional implications.

Criticizing India’s hasty response to the recent attack in Pahalgam, the DG ISPR questioned how Indian authorities could identify alleged attackers within just ten minutes. He denounced this pattern of evidence-free accusations as a recurring tactic by New Delhi and reaffirmed Pakistan’s offer for a transparent, third-party investigation—a proposal to which India has yet to respond.

He warned that both the attack and India’s immediate reaction appear aimed at undermining Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts. According to DG ISPR, Indian aggression has already claimed the lives of 33 Pakistani civilians and injured 62 others. “This is the price we have paid. Every drop of blood weighs heavily on the conscience of the state, the people, and the armed forces,” he said.

Major General Chaudhry went on to accuse India of using terrorism as a political tool and deliberately targeting innocent Kashmiris in the occupied region to divert attention from its domestic crises. He also presented video evidence from residents in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir who questioned their own government’s security failures and labeled the Pahalgam incident a “drama.”

The DG ISPR further claimed that India has been involved in funding terrorism and cross-border operations not only against Pakistan but also in other countries such as Canada. He alleged the presence of terrorist camps within Indian territory and cited official admissions by Indian authorities regarding interference in Balochistan.

“India is backing groups like the Khawarij,” he said, referring to the banned Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). He called upon the international community to hold India accountable for its actions.

Major General Chaudhry also condemned the targeting of unarmed civilians, including women and children, in recent Indian military actions, describing them as a clear violation of human rights. “India’s baseless aggression must end,” he said, reiterating that Pakistan will take every necessary step to safeguard its sovereignty and dignity.

The Pakistani military leadership reaffirmed its commitment to regional peace but warned that India’s continued provocations pose a grave threat to regional stability. They urged international observers to take serious note of the ground realities.
