Iran’s Foreign Ministry Calls Al-Aqsa Storm Operation a Pivotal Moment in Palestinian Fight
Tehran, The Gulf Observer: In a statement commemorating the anniversary of the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, Iran’s Foreign Ministry characterized the operation as a pivotal moment in the Palestinian people’s legitimate struggle against the occupation and oppression by the Zionist regime.
The ministry highlighted that it has been seventy-six years since the usurpation of Palestinian land, noting that the blatant violation of fundamental rights, particularly the right to self-determination and the right to life, has deeply wounded the spirit of the Islamic Ummah and free peoples worldwide. It emphasized that these injustices have resulted in a chronic challenge to peace and stability in the region.
The statement condemned the occupying and apartheid policies of the Zionist regime, which it accused of committing genocide and forcibly displacing the Palestinian people, as well as desecrating Islamic holy sites, with the direct and indirect support of Western powers, particularly the United States.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry asserted that the actions taken by Palestinian resistance on October 7, 2023, during the Al-Aqsa Storm operation, marked a significant turning point in the historical struggle of the Palestinian nation against occupation. It described the operation as an eruption of long-standing anger among Palestinians against eight decades of oppression, killing, and genocide.
Furthermore, the ministry pointed out that over the past year, there has been a continuation and intensification of policies of genocide, mass killings, and organized terrorism by the Zionist regime against the Palestinian people in both Gaza and the West Bank, as well as against the Lebanese nation.
