Tehran Highlights Diplomatic Role of Persian Language at Global Education Forum

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei emphasized the pivotal role of the Persian language in fostering diplomatic dialogue during his remarks at the 11th Gathering of Institutes Dedicated to the Education of Persian Language and Literature, held in Tehran.
Addressing scholars, educators, and cultural envoys, Baqaei described Persian as a language rooted in ancient civilization and cultural richness, extending its influence from India to the Balkans. He characterized it as “the language of thought, wisdom, history, and civilization,” underscoring its unique potential to serve as a bridge in global diplomacy.
Baqaei further noted that Iranian ambassadors and diplomatic representatives abroad could serve as cultural emissaries by representing the Sa’adi Foundation, which is tasked with the global promotion of the Persian language.
He stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Sa’adi Foundation, and the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology in expanding Persian language education internationally. The spokesperson called for greater initiatives to support non-Persian speakers in accessing structured and high-quality language education.
Reaffirming the Foreign Ministry’s longstanding commitment, Baqaei stated that the ministry continues to support the Sa’adi Foundation by utilizing its overseas diplomatic networks to enhance the visibility and accessibility of Persian language programs around the world.
