Kampong Kapok Holds Flag Hoisting Ceremony to Mark His Majesty the Sultan’s 79th Birthday

Bandar Seri Begawan, The Gulf Observer: The Kampong Kapok Village Consultative Council (MPK) organised a flag hoisting ceremony to commemorate the 79th birthday of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam.

The ceremony took place at the open area of the Kampong Kapok Village Head’s residence, aimed at enlivening the atmosphere of the national celebration and expressing loyalty and love for the monarch.

The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat, led by Imam Raffi bin Duming, Head Imam of the Kampong Kapok Mosque.

This was followed by the flag hoisting ceremony, accompanied by the singing of the national anthem. The event was further enlivened by students waving national flags, creating a patriotic atmosphere.

Acting Brunei-Muara District Officer Pengiran Muhammad Ameer Mubaarak bin Pengiran Haji Hashim was present as the guest of honour. Other attendees included the Commanding Officer of Muara Police Station, Head of Muara Fire Station, Headmasters of Kampong Kapok Primary and Religious Schools, as well as teachers, village residents, and students.

The ceremony reflects the community’s commitment to national pride and their shared joy in celebrating the significant occasion of His Majesty’s birthday.
