Kazakhstan and Pakistan Strengthen Parliamentary Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, met with the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of the Parliament of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Senator Sardar Syedaal Khan Nasar, to discuss a broad range of bilateral and regional issues, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the meeting, Ambassador Kistafin provided an overview of the planned events for the current year, highlighting the strong momentum in Kazakh-Pakistani relations. He underscored the importance of continued engagement in fostering diplomatic, economic, and cultural cooperation between the two nations.

For his part, Senator Nasar emphasized the long-standing friendly relations between Kazakhstan and Pakistan, reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to deepening collaboration across multiple sectors. He expressed particular interest in strengthening ties at the parliamentary level and expanding cooperation on regional and international matters.

As an outcome of the discussions, both sides agreed to organize events this year with the participation of the upper chambers of the parliaments of Kazakhstan and Pakistan. The initiative is expected to enhance legislative cooperation and contribute to the broader strategic partnership between the two countries.

This latest development follows previous commitments by Kazakhstan and Pakistan to further deepen bilateral ties, underscoring the shared determination to strengthen their diplomatic and economic engagement.
