Oman-Uzbekistan Business Forum Fosters Investment and Cooperation
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) today hosted the Oman-Uzbekistan Business Forum to explore and enhance investment opportunities between the two nations.
On the sidelines of the forum, the OCCI and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen joint cooperation. Additionally, several MoUs were signed between Omani and Uzbek companies, paving the way for collaborative ventures and partnerships.
During the forum, multiple presentations showcased the key components of Oman’s investment, tourism, and economic landscape. These presentations highlighted the various facilities and incentives available to investors across different sectors, underscoring Oman’s commitment to fostering a conducive investment environment.
Furthermore, numerous B2B meetings took place between Omani and Uzbek businesspeople, facilitating direct dialogue and potential collaborations.
In a notable bilateral meeting, Qais Mohammed Al Yousef, Oman’s Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, met with Baxtiyor Saidov, Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs. The ministers discussed strategies and avenues to bolster business and investment cooperation between Oman and Uzbekistan.
This forum and the accompanying activities mark a significant step towards deepening economic ties and enhancing mutual investment prospects between the two countries.
