Muscat, The Gulf Observer: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik, the Supreme Commander, has issued a special royal pardon for 459 prison inmates, including both Omani citizens and foreign nationals convicted in various cases.

The royal pardon was granted on the occasion of the Prophet’s Birthday 1448 AH, reflecting the Sultan’s consideration for the families of the inmates and the humanitarian significance of the occasion.

The pardon was issued as an expression of compassion and mercy in keeping with the values associated with the Prophet’s Birthday.

The gesture is expected to bring relief to the families of those covered by the royal pardon and underscores the Sultan’s humanitarian consideration for inmates and their families.
