Pakistan Says High-Level Diplomatic Push Advances Regional Peace Efforts, Key Leaders Praise Dialogue Process

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Ishaq Dar has said that a recent telephonic engagement involving the leadership of the United States and senior officials from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan marked significant progress toward regional peace and stability.

In a statement, Ishaq Dar noted that Pakistan was represented in the sensitive and important diplomatic process by Syed Asim Munir, whose role he described as central to facilitating coordination and engagement among the participating parties.

He said the discussions reflected meaningful advancement toward peace and stability in the region, adding that diplomatic efforts led by Donald Trump, along with contributions from U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the broader American team, helped move the negotiations forward.

The Deputy Prime Minister also appreciated the constructive roles played by Masoud Pezeshkian, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, and Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, noting their positive engagement in the process.

He further acknowledged the contributions of the United Nations Secretary-General and friendly regional countries, stating that their support played a constructive role in advancing peace efforts.

Ishaq Dar emphasized that Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, Egypt, Qatar, and other friendly nations remained in continuous contact throughout the process, and their backing was instrumental in achieving progress in the negotiations.

He also praised the visionary leadership of Shehbaz Sharif, describing his commitment to peace as unwavering and crucial in guiding Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts toward stability in the region.
