PM Shehbaz Says Evidence Points to India’s Role in Terrorism in Pakistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has asserted that evidence clearly indicates India’s involvement in sponsoring terrorism inside Pakistan, reaffirming the government’s resolve to eliminate militancy and safeguard the country’s peace and stability. The remarks were made during a meeting with senior journalists and editors in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan has made immense sacrifices in its fight against terrorism, with thousands of civilians and security personnel laying down their lives to restore peace. He emphasized that the nation remains committed to eradicating terrorism in all its forms and ensuring lasting security through coordinated national efforts.

Shehbaz Sharif alleged that hostile elements were attempting to destabilize Pakistan through proxy groups, adding that the country’s security institutions had successfully thwarted numerous terrorist plots. He maintained that the available evidence points towards India’s role in supporting activities aimed at undermining Pakistan’s internal stability.

The Prime Minister praised the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and intelligence services for their continued efforts against militant networks, saying their professionalism and sacrifices have played a pivotal role in maintaining national security. He reiterated that Pakistan would continue pursuing decisive action against terrorist organizations without discrimination.

Shehbaz Sharif also stressed that Pakistan seeks peace and constructive relations in the region but will not compromise on its sovereignty or national security. He called on the international community to take serious notice of actions that threaten regional stability and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to promoting peace, dialogue, and cooperation while remaining vigilant against security challenges.
