President Erdoğan, PM Sharif Reaffirm Coordination Against Israeli Actions in Gaza

Tianjin, The Gulf Observer: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Sunday strongly condemned Israel’s policies in Gaza, describing them as genocidal, and emphasized that Ankara will continue to work in close coordination with Pakistan to counter such actions.
During a meeting with Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif in Tianjin, China, Erdoğan underscored that Türkiye and Pakistan stand firmly on the same line against Israel’s aggression in Gaza. The Turkish Communications Directorate, in a statement released on the social media platform NSosyal, said the two countries would continue their joint efforts in this regard.
The leaders also reviewed bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments. President Erdoğan welcomed the progress in relations between Pakistan and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), describing Pakistan’s solidarity on this matter as deeply valued. He further highlighted the ongoing cooperation between Türkiye and Pakistan in key sectors including trade, energy, defense, and security.
On regional affairs, Erdoğan stressed that Syria’s unity and territorial integrity are indispensable for Türkiye, reiterating Ankara’s opposition to any moves that could destabilize the country. He also conveyed condolences to the people of Pakistan over the loss of lives and property caused by devastating floods, reaffirming that Türkiye stands shoulder to shoulder with Pakistan in this difficult time.
According to a statement issued by Islamabad, the meeting reaffirmed the “deep-rooted” brotherly ties between Pakistan and Türkiye, underlining their shared commitment to peace, stability, and prosperity in the Muslim world and beyond.
Both leaders are visiting China to participate in the 25th Meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), hosted in Tianjin.
