President Ilham Aliyev Meets Former Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko in Baku
Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has met with former President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, who is visiting Baku.
According to a post shared on the official X account of President Ilham Aliyev, the meeting focused on Azerbaijan-Ukraine relations and prospects for further development of bilateral ties.
President Aliyev said that during their acquaintance, which has spanned more than two decades, they had shared pleasant memories and recalled joint efforts aimed at strengthening relations between Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
The two sides also exchanged views on the future prospects of bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Ambassador of Ukraine to Azerbaijan presented President Ilham Aliyev with a certificate naming him an “Honorary Citizen of the City of Irpin.”
The meeting underscored the longstanding ties between Azerbaijan and Ukraine and the importance attached to further strengthening bilateral relations.
