President Pezeshkian calls for unity among Islamic nations

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has called on Islamic countries to act as a unified body in promoting peace, brotherhood, and solidarity, emphasizing the urgent need for unity in addressing conflicts within the Muslim world.
Speaking on Wednesday during a meeting devoted to regional developments, President Pezeshkian expressed deep concern over the recent tensions between Afghanistan and Pakistan, describing the situation as troubling for all countries in the region, including Iran.
He stressed that the disputes and confrontations among Islamic nations “do not reflect the will of their peoples,” but are instead the outcome of “plots orchestrated by the enemies of Islam and international Zionism.”
“The recent events between these two brotherly, Muslim, and neighboring countries have caused sorrow and concern among all nations of the region,” Pezeshkian said, underscoring that Muslim nations — particularly those sharing deep historical, cultural, and spiritual ties — possess an unbreakable bond of faith, history, and culture.
Citing the teachings of the Holy Quran, the president reminded that “the believers are brothers,” urging Islamic nations to work collectively for peace, justice, and progress.
President Pezeshkian proposed that constructive dialogue and strengthened brotherly relations between Afghanistan and Pakistan could serve as effective means to de-escalate tensions and restore trust. He affirmed that Iran stands ready to use all available resources and diplomatic channels to help reduce tensions, promote dialogue, and reinforce the foundations of friendship between the two neighboring states.
“The region today needs peace, cohesion, and cooperation more than ever,” Pezeshkian stated, voicing confidence that the governments and peoples of Afghanistan and Pakistan would overcome current challenges with wisdom and ultimately choose the path of friendship, collaboration, and mutual trust.
