President Pezeshkian Praises Iranian People’s Unity During Funeral of Martyrs of Israeli Aggression

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, has lauded the Iranian people for their profound unity and patriotic spirit displayed during the funeral procession of those martyred in the recent Israeli aggression. The funeral was held on Saturday in Tehran, with massive public participation from Enghelab Square to Azadi Square.
Following his participation in the solemn procession, President Pezeshkian posted on his official X (formerly Twitter) account:
“With love, you [people] bid farewell to the martyrs of the homeland, and the world heard the voice of our unity.”
He continued by invoking the enduring spirit of resistance in Iranian history:
“We have learned from Imam Hussein (PBUH) never to accept humiliation and never to bow to oppression.”
The President concluded his message with a heartfelt tribute to the Iranian nation:
“Serving such a noble and freedom-seeking people is the greatest honor of my life. Long live Iran, forever.”
The funeral procession drew tens of thousands of mourners, who chanted slogans against the Israeli regime and the United States, condemning the unprovoked assault on Iranian territory.
The strike, which occurred on June 13, targeted nuclear, military, and civilian infrastructure, killing over 600 people, including senior military commanders, scientists, and civilians. The attack was widely condemned by several nations and sparked large-scale national mourning in Iran.
President Pezeshkian’s remarks echo the broader sentiment of national resilience and resistance, as Iran continues to respond diplomatically and militarily to the unprecedented escalation.
