President Tokayev extends New Year congratulations to Kazakhstan citizens

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev conveyed his warm congratulations to the entirety of Kazakhstan’s populace, marking the auspicious occasion of the New Year. This significant gesture reflects the President’s sincere regards and well-wishes for the citizens of Kazakhstan, emphasizing the importance of this celebratory moment in fostering unity and shared aspirations for progress and prosperity in the upcoming year.

Within his New Year’s address, the Head of State reflected upon the passing year, acknowledging 2023 as a period marked by both noteworthy accomplishments and challenging trials for Kazakhstan. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscored the inevitable fluctuations inherent in life, wherein peaks and troughs transpire in succession. However, amidst these fluctuations, the President highlighted the unwavering resilience of Kazakhstan’s people, their unwavering optimism, and their enduring gaze fixed upon the future with resolute confidence. This spirit of perseverance, as articulated by President Tokayev, embodies the nation’s steadfast resolve to overcome challenges and pursue a promising future ahead.

The President highlighted that Kazakhstan concluded the preceding year and commenced the new one on a positive trajectory, celebrating a significant milestone as the country’s population reached 20 million. Emphasizing the importance of population growth, the President reiterated its role as a cornerstone for a robust and prosperous nation. He emphasized the intrinsic link between a thriving populace and the nation’s strength, portraying a larger population as a testament to the country’s vitality. Additionally, the President underscored the significance of contented and flourishing families as the bedrock of a prosperous nation, emphasizing their pivotal role in fostering national well-being and advancement.

Expressing a commitment to enact pivotal reforms in alignment with rejuvenation and modernization, the President affirmed the nation’s dedication to fortifying the pillars of its identity and sovereignty. Emphasizing the forthcoming implementation of significant reforms, the President reiterated the country’s resolute stance on charting a course toward sustained growth, aiming to reinforce and modernize fundamental aspects integral to the nation’s advancement.”

The rule of law, according to the President, has become the focal point of state policy as Kazakhstan is taking specific steps in that direction. He welcomed the start of ambitious projects in the sphere of education and healthcare as well as transition to a new economic model based on justice.

The Head of State pointed out 2023 had been successful for the country as it had attracted billions of dollars of foreign investments, created a myriad of jobs, and supported SMEs as a driving force of its economy.

The work on the repatriation of illegal acquired assets from abroad is ongoing. The assets repatriated from abroad will be channeled into good causes. For instance, it will be spent on the construction of new schools. On top of that, millions of hectares of unused lands will be handed over to honest landowners.

President Tokayev went on to express gratitude to teachers, health workers, engineers, farmers, military men, law-enforcers, and volunteers for their selfless work.

Thanks to well-balanced and constructive foreign policy, Kazakhstan has strengthened its standing in the international arena fully compliant with the long-term national interests.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also praised the fact that Kazakhstan’s economy had grown 4.9 per cent in 2023. Kazakhstan has embarked on a path of implementing a host of crucial tasks, thus, giving a new impulse to the development of the country.

The President underlined that the reformed conducted had already borne fruit.

“Most importantly, we’ve started shaping a Just Kazakhstan ensuring equal opportunities for all. The conducted reforms have already borne fruit. This is our common cause. That is why I would like to take this opportunity to thank all citizens who have contributed to this important work,” President Tokayev added.

The President called on Kazakhstanis to cherish peace and stability in the country.

With confidence in the face of forthcoming challenges and obligations, he articulated his belief that the approaching year will introduce a fresh array of tasks, demanding concerted efforts towards the establishment of a competitive, robust, and flourishing nation. President Tokayev assured a steadfast commitment to advancing Kazakhstan’s interests through ongoing systemic reforms. He reiterated the reforms’ core objective: reinforcing Kazakhstan’s statehood while elevating the populace’s welfare. Underlining the nation’s dedication to sustained progress, President Tokayev reaffirmed Kazakhstan’s resolute pursuit of strategic reforms aimed at fortifying the state’s foundation and nurturing an enhanced quality of life for its citizens.
