President Tokayev Pays Tribute to War Heroes on 80th Anniversary of Great Victory

Astana, The Gulf Observer: On the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev laid a solemn wreath at the Otan Ana Monument in Astana, honoring the memory of Kazakhstani soldiers who perished during the Great Patriotic War, according to media reports.
The Head of State observed a moment of silence in tribute to the fallen, reflecting the nation’s deep respect and gratitude for the bravery and sacrifices of its wartime heroes. The commemorative event featured a ceremonial performance of the National Anthem of Kazakhstan by the Presidential Orchestra.
A Guard of Honor unit also participated in the ceremony, marching past the assembled guests in a display of discipline and reverence.
