Riyadh Airport Begins First Phase of ‘Silent Airport’ Project

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh on Tuesday began the first phase of the gradual implementation of its “Silent Airport” project at Terminal 5, aimed at providing passengers with a quieter and more comfortable travel experience.
According to the airport authorities, the initiative seeks to reduce public announcements and limit them primarily to departure gates, while increasing reliance on digital screens and other digital communication channels for providing passengers with flight information.
Passengers can access flight updates through the airport’s official WhatsApp service at 920020090, its website, digital signage, and the “Ask Me” team available to assist travelers.
The airport said additional phases of the “Silent Airport” project would be introduced gradually, with details to be announced in due course.
The initiative is part of efforts to enhance the overall passenger experience by creating a calmer airport environment while ensuring travelers continue to receive timely and accessible flight information.
