Russia, Pakistan Hold Roundtable on Information Sovereignty and Cybersecurity

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Russian International Affairs Council (RIAC), the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), and the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) jointly held a hybrid Russian-Pakistani roundtable on information sovereignty and cybersecurity on August 18.
The event brought together Deputy Director General of RIAC Dr. Dmitry Kiku, Principal of NUST’s Jinnah School of Public Policy and Leadership Dr. Hassan Jalil Shah, Cultural Attaché of the Russian Embassy in Islamabad Gleb Shubin, International Business Development Manager at Positive Technologies Egor Rykov, as well as leading experts from MGIMO and NUST.
During an extensive exchange of views, Russian and Pakistani experts discussed the cybersecurity priorities of Moscow and Islamabad and highlighted significant opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the field.
The participants underscored the importance of further expanding academic and expert exchanges between Russia and Pakistan, including through joint research initiatives aimed at addressing emerging challenges in information sovereignty and cybersecurity.
The roundtable provided an important platform for strengthening professional dialogue and fostering closer cooperation between institutions and experts of the two countries in the rapidly evolving digital and cybersecurity landscape.
