Russian Ambassador Visits Niftysphere Institute

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Albert Khorev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Pakistan, paid an official visit to Niftysphere Institute of Arts & Design, marking a significant step toward strengthening cultural and educational ties between Pakistan and Russia.
The ambassador was warmly received and given a comprehensive tour of the institute by Syed Usman Tahir, Honorary Advisor to the Federal Minister of Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi. During the visit, the delegation explored various departments, gaining insights into academic programs, creative initiatives, and skill-based training activities.
Speaking on the occasion, both sides underscored the importance of cultural diplomacy through art, education, and skill development. They highlighted that Pakistan and Russia share rich cultural heritages and agreed to enhance cooperation through student exchanges, cultural programs, and professional training initiatives.
Ambassador Khorev appreciated the institute’s efforts in nurturing talent and promoting creative education. He also expressed keen interest in future collaborations, including participation in cultural events and joint initiatives between Russian institutions and Niftysphere.
The event was also attended by Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman of the Senate, who commended the institute for its valuable contribution to arts and education in Pakistan.
A key highlight of the visit was a musical performance by renowned sitar player, writer, and musician Wajih Nizami. He enthralled the audience with classical compositions, including a Russian melody and traditional tunes representing Pakistan’s diverse provinces, symbolizing cultural harmony and artistic unity.
The visit concluded on a positive note, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to future collaboration. The institute pledged active participation in upcoming Russian cultural events, further strengthening bilateral relations through art, education, and creative exchange.
