Saudi Minister of Commerce and Turkish Minister of Trade Hold Bilateral Talks

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: n a diplomatic initiative aimed at fostering economic collaboration between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Turkiye, Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Qasabi and Turkish Minister of Trade Omar Polat held a high-level meeting on Sunday.

The discussions, which took place in Riyadh, focused on strengthening trade relations and creating an environment conducive for private sector investment in both countries. Minister Al-Qasabi highlighted the importance of enhancing economic ties between the two brotherly nations, emphasizing the need to explore and capitalize on promising opportunities.

In a statement issued following the meeting, Minister Al-Qasabi expressed his optimism about the potential for increased economic cooperation. He stated, “Our talks centered on developing our trade relations and enabling the private sector to invest in promising opportunities in our two brotherly countries. By fostering a stronger economic partnership, we aim to create mutual benefits and contribute to the prosperity of our nations.”

Minister Polat, echoing similar sentiments, emphasized the shared commitment to advancing economic collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Turkey. He affirmed that both sides explored avenues for potential partnerships, particularly in infrastructure development, with a specific focus on transportation. Additionally, discussions delved into collaborative ventures in housing projects, recycling, waste management, and sustainable construction projects.

In a separate meeting, Minister Polat engaged with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Municipal and Rural Affairs and Housing, Majid Al-Hogail. The discussions with Minister Al-Hogail centered on exploring opportunities for cooperation in various sectors, including infrastructure development, housing projects, and sustainable practices.

Minister Polat expressed his enthusiasm for the potential collaborations, stating, “Our discussions with Minister Al-Hogail were fruitful, and we explored potential partnerships in infrastructure, particularly in transportation, as well as housing projects, recycling, waste management, and sustainable construction projects. This marks a significant step towards strengthening the ties between our nations and fostering sustainable development.”

Both ministers affirmed their commitment to follow up on the outcomes of the meeting, with the aim of translating discussions into tangible collaborations that would contribute to the economic growth and prosperity of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
