Tashkent to hold exhibition of Uzbek and Japanese dolls
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: On 15 December, an opening ceremony of an exhibition of Uzbek and Japanese dolls will be held in the small exhibition hall of the International Caravanserai of Culture Ikuo Hirayama of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan.
The organizers of this event are the Embassy of Japan in Uzbekistan and the International Caravanserai of Culture Ikuo Hirayama of the Academy of Arts of Uzbekistan. The exhibition will be held from December 15 to December 31, 2023.
The exhibition display includes several dozen Uzbek and Japanese dolls. Since ancient times in Japan, dolls have been a part of everyday life. Japanese dolls are a reflection of the customs and aspirations of their people, have the characteristic features of each region and have evolved over many centuries, taking on different forms. Visitors to the exhibition of Uzbek and Japanese dolls will be able to enjoy the rich Uzbek and Japanese culture embodied in these works of decorative and applied art created by Uzbek and Japanese masters, absorb the beauty of the dolls and the spiritual content hidden in them.
At the opening ceremony, which will take place on 15 December at 17:00 in the small exhibition hall of the International Caravanserai of Culture Ikuo Hirayama, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Uzbekistan, Mr. Hatori Takashi, will deliver a welcoming speech.
