Turkmen Foreign Minister Meets with U.S. Business Council Executive Director

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, held a meeting with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan–USA Business Council, to discuss the current state and future prospects of cooperation between Turkmenistan and U.S. companies.
During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on strengthening bilateral ties, particularly in the trade and economic sectors. Key areas of mutual interest identified included the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, and high technologies.
In addition, the parties explored opportunities for expanding cooperation in emerging and strategic fields such as cybersecurity, green technologies, and education. Special attention was given to the role of the Turkmenistan–U.S. Business Council in fostering dialogue and enhancing business-to-business and government-to-business relations between the two countries.
Minister Meredov reaffirmed the Government of Turkmenistan’s commitment to deepening trade and economic collaboration with American business entities, highlighting the long-standing and positive contributions of U.S. companies to the growth and diversification of Turkmenistan’s economy.
Both sides expressed mutual interest in advancing a productive and mutually beneficial partnership, underscoring the shared vision for dynamic and forward-looking bilateral cooperation.
