UAE Embassy in China Hosts Grand Reception to Celebrate 53rd Eid Al Etihad
Beijing, the Gulf Observer: The UAE Embassy in the People’s Republic of China held a distinguished reception to commemorate the 53rd Eid Al Etihad, in the presence of Shohrat Zakir, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People’s Congress (NPC).
Hussein Ibrahim Al Hamadi, UAE Ambassador to China, led the event alongside embassy staff and the military attaché. The reception attracted prominent officials from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, senior diplomats, and heads of Arab, Islamic, and foreign missions accredited in Beijing. Also in attendance were leading figures from the finance, business, investment, and media sectors, as well as representatives from scientific, commercial, and cultural institutions. The event saw significant participation from UAE citizens and students pursuing education in China.
The ceremony commenced with the playing of the national anthems of the UAE and China, symbolizing the strong and enduring partnership between the two nations.
In his opening address, Ambassador Al Hamadi expressed gratitude for the attendees’ presence and highlighted the significance of the occasion:
“Today, we celebrate the 53rd Eid Al Etihad and the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the UAE and the People’s Republic of China.”
An exhibition accompanying the event showcased photographs and publications documenting the UAE’s remarkable progress over the decades. Guests were further engaged by a documentary detailing the UAE’s achievements, followed by captivating cultural performances from both nations. Traditional Yola dances by Emirati folk troupes and Chinese folkloric displays captivated the audience, underscoring the deep cultural ties shared between the two countries.
This celebration underscored the strength of UAE-China relations and reflected the shared commitment to fostering mutual cooperation and cultural exchange.
