UAE, Pakistan FMs Discuss Strengthening Strategic Ties and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), held a telephone conversation with Muhammad Ishaq Dar, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of the friendly Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
During the call, the two sides reviewed the strategic and historical relations binding the UAE and Pakistan, and explored avenues for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in a manner that serves the mutual interests of both nations and enhances the welfare of their peoples.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s steadfast position in unequivocally rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism that seek to undermine the security and stability of societies. He stressed that such acts are in violation of international law and pose a serious threat to global peace and security.
The UAE Foreign Minister also expressed confidence in Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to advancing regional security and stability in South Asia, and to preventing the escalation of tensions in the region.
He underscored the importance of diplomacy and dialogue as the most effective tools for resolving crises peacefully and for meeting the aspirations of peoples for peace, security, and development.
H.H. Sheikh Abdullah concluded by affirming the UAE’s continued support for all efforts and initiatives aimed at resolving regional and international conflicts through peaceful means and alleviating their humanitarian impacts.
