UAE President, Albanian PM Discuss Expanding Bilateral Cooperation and Regional Stability

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, received Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania, who is on a working visit to the UAE, reaffirming both nations’ commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and expanding strategic cooperation.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored avenues to further enhance UAE–Albania ties across key sectors, including economy, trade, renewable energy, and technology, with a focus on fostering sustainable growth and delivering mutual benefits for both countries.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady progress in bilateral relations and underscored their shared determination to broaden development partnerships aimed at achieving long-term economic prosperity and meeting the aspirations of their peoples.

The discussions also covered regional developments and their implications for security and stability, particularly in relation to maritime safety and the global economy.

Prime Minister Rama reiterated Albania’s firm condemnation of recent attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE and other countries in the region, describing them as violations of international law and norms that undermine regional peace and stability.

The meeting was attended by Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, along with a number of ministers, senior officials, and members of the accompanying Albanian delegation.
