UAE President, Australian Deputy PM Discuss Defence Cooperation and Regional Security

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: UAE President His Highness Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday received Australia’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence, Richard Marles, in Abu Dhabi to discuss bilateral cooperation and regional developments.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed relations between the United Arab Emirates and Australia and explored opportunities to further strengthen cooperation, particularly in defence and security-related fields.
Discussions also focused on a number of issues of mutual concern, especially recent developments in the Middle East and their implications for regional and international peace and stability. The meeting further highlighted the importance of enhancing global maritime security amid ongoing geopolitical challenges.
Both sides reaffirmed the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation in support of regional stability and shared international interests.
