Uzbek Deputy FM, UK’s Leo Docherty discuss ways to enhance cooperation
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov met with the UK’s Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office Leo Docherty.
The parties discussed increasing interaction between the two states in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
The British side highly appreciated the 27th meeting of the Uzbek-British Trade and Industry Council held in London last week, which was attended by representatives of more than 150 British companies.
The parties agreed to maintain a close dialogue on the situation in Afghanistan to assist in ensuring long-term peace, social and economic stability in this country.
