Uzbekistan and Mongolia Enhance Cooperation in International Road Transport

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan is actively strengthening its cooperation in international road transport with various countries. In this context, the Ministry of Transport hosted a meeting of the Uzbekistan – Mongolia Joint Commission on International Road Transport.
During the meeting, representatives from the Ministries of Transport of both countries discussed the development of international road transport and the establishment of favorable conditions for national carriers. The discussions focused on optimizing transportation processes and improving efficiency for mutual benefit.
The parties exchanged views on the current state of international road transport and explored avenues for its further development. Notably, the meeting highlighted the significant potential for expanding cooperation in this sector, leading to an agreement to double the number of permit forms for 2025.
Additionally, discussions included the introduction of an E-Permit electronic system to facilitate the exchange of permit forms between the two nations, aiming to expedite cargo transportation and streamline administrative procedures.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering stronger transport cooperation, recognizing its crucial role in enhancing economic ties and trade between Uzbekistan and Mongolia.
