Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Foreign Ministers Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Bakhtiyor Saidov, held a phone conversation with his Tajik counterpart, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, to discuss the progress and prospects of bilateral relations, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry announced.
“Had a fruitful phone conversation with my dear colleague H.E. Sirojiddin Muhriddin, the Foreign Minister of Tajikistan,” Saidov stated. He emphasized the deep bonds of friendship, mutual trust, and strategic partnership that underpin relations between the two nations.
Reflecting on the outcomes of Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s state visit to Dushanbe last year, Saidov highlighted the significant agreements reached in key areas of cooperation and the historic signing of the Treaty on Allied Relations, which marked a new chapter in Uzbek-Tajik ties.
“Our strong bonds of friendship and good neighborliness continue to grow actively,” Saidov noted. “Confident that our continued joint efforts will further strengthen bilateral relations and bring new achievements for our brotherly nations in 2025.”
