Vietnam Welcomes Israel-Iran Ceasefire Agreement, Urges Commitment to Peace and Dialogue

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Vietnam has welcomed the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Iran on June 24, expressing hope that the development will pave the way for lasting peace and stability in the region.
The statement was made by Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Phạm Thu Hằng, during a press briefing held on Thursday in Hanoi.
“Việt Nam calls on all parties involved to seriously comply with the agreement, thereby creating favourable conditions for peace, stability, and development in the region and around the world,” Hằng stated.
She emphasised Vietnam’s consistent support for efforts aimed at promoting negotiation and dialogue, grounded in the respect for national sovereignty and conducted in accordance with international law and the Charter of the United Nations. Such principles, she noted, are essential for achieving long-term and sustainable peace in the region.
The spokesperson’s remarks underscore Vietnam’s broader foreign policy commitment to peaceful conflict resolution and multilateral cooperation, especially in regions experiencing prolonged tension and instability.
